Commissioner General of Examinations Indika Kumari stated that steps will be taken to release the results of the 2026 GCE Advanced Level (A/L) Examination before the end of this year. Speaking at a press conference held this morning (10), the Commissioner General said that the evaluation of answer scripts is scheduled to commence on September 3. The 2026 GCE Advanced Level (A/L) Examination commenced today (10) and will be conducted until September 5 at 2,532 examination centres across the island. A total of 372,310 candidates are sitting for the examination, including 264,496 school applicants and 107,814 private applicants.
